Chodron's Lamp Soy Candles are hand-made in Austin, Texas. They are made from the finest soy wax I have been able to find, Eco-Soya, which is proud to declare that the soy beans used in its soy candle formula are not genetically modified, and their growing posed no threat of contamination to other soy crops.
The wicks in our candles are made of hemp twine, imported from Bulgaria, which has a cotton core. There is neither lead nor zinc in these wicks. The colors I use are non-toxic.
Finally, it is the use of essential oils that sets Chodron's Lamp Soy Candles apart from the rest. From the very beginning of crafting soy candles, I believed that those who cared about using soy candles would prefer natural, rather than artificial scents.
After investigating numerous scents and their varied properties for healing and regeneration, I have found certain oils to be pleasing and affordable. The oils I use change from season to season. Please check the products section to see what is currently available.
